Didn't watch much last night, I ended up getting sucked into watching Flight of the Conchords videos on Youtube and then I watched UFC on FX. I did a little inventory and by my calculations I have recorded about 90 hours worth of content this year that I haven't gotten to yet, so I'm going to change up the format a little this weekend. I hope to do a lot of little micro posts through out the day, I plan to watch about two hours worth of stuff and then post about it, and then wash, rinse, and repeat and see how much back log I can get through this weekend. So expect multiple posts through out the day.

Before we get started, a little trivia for you. This is the fourth season in a row to be filmed in Fiji, and if what I heard is true, the beach that they are living on is basically the same location that coaches tribe from last season used as their bathroom.
Sabrina should be careful about taking the leadership role in her tribe. When you assume the responsibility of leadership you either end up the hero or the goat, and the way the tribe seems to be fracturing leads me to believe that she will end up being the goat.
I couldn't tell if Bill was trying to be funny when he was reading the instructions for the at camp reward challenge. Also if you are sitting out one person wouldn't it make more sense for them to be the starter of the challenge not someone who has to actually compete in it. What would have happened if the competition had been closer to a tie. With no host/spokesperson for the show there how would the producers have justified picking the winner its not like they had to place the ring somewhere after they freed it.
I liked that the ropes were different colors, that way there would be no way to steal from each other without knowing who took what. Also, they seem to be giving the tribes lots of materials to build stuff with and so far it seems that neither tribe has constructed anything worthy of the material with it. And on that note Why did the guys build a swing? what group of middle aged men goes "you know what this camp needs? A Swing Set!!!
Colton is having one of he biggest mental breakdowns in the history of the game. Last season Cochran was an outcast on his tribe and he tried everything in his power to make himself fit in and useful. Colton, walking around and complaining will not help you make friends, if you started working hard some of the people how you feel you have nothing in common with might respect you for your work ethic even if you have nothing in common. No one would have thought that Rudy and Richard would have been the two with an alliance in season one, but they made it work.
If I was on the girls team I would want nothing to do with Colton when ever he came around. They don't know that he is really on the outs with his tribe he could be a spy. And while I realize they are smart enough to not talk game in front of him, if he was a spy he would still be picking up little thing like pecking order and who are the leaders that would need to go first in order to succeed at the merge. Look at last season if Coach would have gone home first at the merge his whole team would have splintered into sub alliances that were not as strong as the whole alliance was, and coach was the glue that held it together.
I think it was a smart move on Colton's part to let some of the others know that he had the necklace because if he had just used it at tribal all it would have done is buy him another three days, where as the way he did it he might be able to make an alliance for himself out of it. But I think he should have waited until his tribe lost before telling anyone. More than likely word of the hidden immunity will leak out before they go to tribal and it might cost him because he overplayed his hand so soon. Also if he is able to get Leif, Tarzan, Jonas, and Troyzan on his side, why would he play the idol. He has the numbers and could save it until later in the game.
But in actuality I don't see anyone wanting to be in a long term alliance with Colton. It is obvious that he plans to flip to the women's side as soon as he can. Why take someone with you to the merge that could end up being a liability?
It was a smart move to sit out Tarzan, he is by far the stockiest of the men's team and would have had the hardest time. So far the guys have made wise decisions on who to sit out.
I kind of wondered if it would have been smarter to save Lief for last. In theory he should have been the easiest to navigate around, maybe because he is so much smaller than the rest they were worried that the others wouldn't be able to get their balance and support while passing him.
When they first showed the challenge, I thought it was a foregone conclusion that the women would win. After Jeff said you could only touch one person at a time, and remembering back to last time and how poorly the women listened to instructions, I thought the men might have had a fighting chance. But never would I have thought that the girls would have done as poorly as they did in this challenge.
I looks like they got their swim suits at that challenge. In the first half of the episode everyone was walking around in their underwear, it was so prevalent in fact that I wrote about it in my notes, and now that they are back form the challenge everyone is wearing swimsuits.
That's the danger of making a day one alliance. You never know exactly who you will end up with, the person you promise to take to the end might be the most annoying person on the planet, or they might be horrible in challenges. Some how Kat seems to have both categories covered.
Jeff was ruthless with them at tribal. I can't remember the last tribe he ripped into so much. He also exposed Nina's past. What if she was keeping that a secret from her tribe or parts of her tribe. Jeff seems to be injecting himself more and more into the game, becoming less of a host and more of a player that can never be voted out.
Once Kat said that it would have been fair to vote her out that should have made it a done deal. If Nina had been smarter she would have gotten Kat to say that back at camp before they left, or at least raised holy hell after she said it until she had convinced enough people to vote with her.
It would have been an okay time to make a switch and vote out Kat, the majority alliance would have still had the numbers 4 to 3 and they would have gotten rid of their weakest player. Because no matter how fit and strong you are, if you can't keep your head in the game you are the weakest link and by continuing to jump of the beam for no reason Kat showed she can't keep her head in the game.
I don't think the guys will be able to make a run of the show and eliminate all the girls. This season was built having a male and female tribe in mind. You have to figure that they are going to have challenges that strongly favor both tribes, like this weeks should have, the only question is will the women be able to succeed at one of the challenges that is made for them. If the women keep losing, I think production will step in and mix up the teams sooner than they had planned to.
