I watch a lot of TV, no I mean it, a lot. At last count I have 182 season passes, now of those only 82 are shows that are currently airing or shows that I know are returning the rest either need to be deleted or might return.
I tend to watch what I would consider to be the higher end shows: Mad Men, The Wire, Modern Family. But I also have a soft spot for the bottom of the barrel garbage that TV produces: Big Brother, Jersey Shore, Pro-Wrestling and anything else that gets highlighted on The Soup.
When new shows start airing I tend to give them two to three episodes before I decide if its worth watching. The reason is lots of shows don't really find their voice until a few episodes in, like Cougar town, or inversely the pilot gets so much love and attention that when the show gets picked up the weekly schedule makes the show not be able to live up to the pilot.
So that's what will be here a strange combination of the highest and lowest quality wares television has to offer and my thoughts on all of it.
If you haven't, check out Shipping Wars. And my personal guilty pleasures...Teen Mom and Restaurant Impossible.
ReplyDeleteShipping Wars and Restaurant Impossible have both been recorded. I'll probably get to them this weekend. As for Teen Mom.....even I have my limits.
DeleteHow can you miss out on great lines in Teen Mom like, "I'm sorry I pressed charges against you. It's not like you beat me. You just shoved me really hard".
DeleteOr..."I got a real life job. They take child support right out of my check and everything."
