"Moss' Prime Rib & Spaghetti House" Air Date 2-8-12

I sometimes wonder what these owners think will happen when they bring someone in to help fix their failing business.  Do they really think they celebrity chef will just say "well your foods great and the atmosphere is perfect, I can't figure out why no one is coming here either."

It is the head chef fault the place is such a mess, but only partially.  If they are penny pinching so that he doesn't get enough man hours to staff the kitchen let alone clean.  He can only be held to part of the problem.

It seems that they have stopped using the white board to detail all the things that Robert wants to fix with the restaurant. I'm not sure if this is good or bad, but it at least set it apart from the other shows of the same ilk.

I think if she had set her food costs correctly from the get go, that she wouldn't be in the dire situation that she is in.

"Rock Your Body"  Air Date  1-25-12

The challenge was good, but if they were working on a film shoot and had to hand off their makeup to someone else there would be predetermined designs to work off of.  It was unnecessary to make it so they couldn't talk about the design with each other and I'm surprised that more teams didn't end up with discombobulated messes.

It's kind of sad that all these giants in their industry are completely unknown to the general public.  No one has ever said they are going to see a movie because they know who is doing the special effects and they like that persons work.

How is it possible to give one person immunity in a team challenge?  The way they explained the reasoning meant that the only people who could have possibly won it were the first ones to go.  If all the teams had known that from the get go, why would anyone have worked to win someone else immunity?

Apparently naked butts don't have to be pixelated.   Who knew?

The sneaker backdrop is by far the hardest.  It's almost unfair how much more difficult it is.  But if whoever gets it is able to make it work they are almost guaranteed to be the winner of the challenge.

Did they give the contestants a chance to listen to Asher Roth's new CD?  It would be kind of hard to design an album cover for a CD if you were not familiar with either his work or this CD in general.

For all the good work Matt did on those shoes, that basketball butt was pretty poor.  It needed to be bigger and placed better.

I felt sorry for Jerry.  When they were showing quick shots around the room while the teams were finishing up both his and Matt's were the only two that the models truly blended into the background.  It's a shame that Jerry's work didn't photograph as well as it looked in real life.

Having never done something before should not be an excuse when you are trying to win a competition at this level.

If you put pieces of cloth all over your nude model to give the illusion of clothing, are they still considered a nude model?  A more talented artist would have been able to give off the illusion of cloth in the actual paint job.

Matt has to now be the front runner to win the whole thing.

I think Miranda left not because her work was the worst, but because she was making excuses for why her work was so bad.

"Park's Edge"  Air Date 2-3-12

On this episode the owners are best friends.  Does this mean we will finally have an episode that isn't all about inter-family turmoil?

I think everyone on the planet knows that you need a liquor license to serve drinks.  And if they didn't have a license how did they keep from getting shut down?

At least Richard seems to realize the error of his ways and is trying to fix them.

If all the problems are just their reputation in the community, they don't need Gordon Ramsey they just need a good PR firm to improve their image.

There walk-in refrigerator appears to be located outside.  You'd think this would lead to theft and other problems.

It's slightly dirty pool to get the staff to open up and tell you how they really think and then tell them the owners have been watching the whole time.  It has to happen that later on down the road someone will lose their job because of something that they said in one of these sessions.

I don't understand Matt's problem, first he complained about the quality of the food that they were serving and then after getting the new menu he complained about the type of food that they were serving.  What it all comes down to is he is being paid to cook the food that the owners want him to cook and if he doesn't want to cook it he should go work somewhere else.  But in his defense I don't think I could take my boss seriously if they were to wrap a dish towel around their head.

"Love the Way You Lie"  Air Date 2-15-12

It's nice to see them out on the beach just having a good time and the focus not being on the game or some drama.  I wonder if the house they are staying at is attached to the beach, if so it's worth doing this show just for the vacation you get while filming.

It was also fun to watch the night devolve from good time to drunken debauchery.

Jasmine, when CT is your voice of reason, you have to admit there is a big problem in the way you are acting and treating others.

From the aerial shot they showed going to the challenge, the answer is no the house is not a beach front property.

When ever I watch this show I always think they are going to fall directly on top of their teammates.  I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often.  I'm also surprised that Jasmine is still alive after that monster fell right on top of her.

Will you look at that.  The one game that doesn't favor the big guy just seems to be the one that ends up being played.  If I were Tyrie I'd make sure to watch the next few episodes to see if they have used all the different dome elimination challenges and are now repeating the ones they have all ready done or if they screwed him out of his chance at this game, by giving the girls one where he was at a considerable disadvantage.

  1. I felt really bad for the Mom on Restaurant Impossible at Moss'. Talk about overwhelming and her son was such a jerk. No wonder she was so crabby!
