"In the Trenches" Air Date 2-21-12

Greg has an awful big ego/attitude for someone who just squeaked by in that elimination challenge.

They have finally found a way to hang the eliminated players targets that actually works and doesn't seem awkward and out of place.  I like that when it get done it will form a target.

Chee is awful tiny to have been a marine.  Isn't there a height requirement?

This show does a very good job of using slow motion to its fullest advantage.  It's always fun to watch the various thing blow up in slow motion.  They also do a good job of filling containers with things that will look good when they explode.

Before the challenge started I would have said that the red team had a far better strategy and was more focused, while the blue team seemed to be all over the place.  But it just goes to show that the best of strategies gets thrown right out the window when someone can't perform.

I like that after the challenge they show a stat sheet breakdown of the challenge and how well each player on the losing team did.  I wonder if that is information that is given to the players before they cast their vote to eliminate?

Gabby almost lost her gun while shooting at the target in the elimination picking.

How awesome would it be to get to shoot a six shot grenade launcher?  I bet everyone was kicking themselves that they weren't able to try it.

If I had been on the blue team I would have wanted to come and watch, just to see them play with the grenade launchers.

I prefer the head-to-head challenges to the timed ones where each contestant has to take a turn.  It has a better payoff than Colby announcing who the winner is.

Both girls seem to be wearing very short shorts.  I wonder if that was what they were given to wear or if they chose to thinking it might help them to stay around longer.

It always seems that the practice contains foreshadowing to what will happen during the competition, and who ever is shown making a mistake in practice, the other player will make  the same mistake during the actual competition.  And if a player tries a risky strategy it will always bite them in the butt.
